So More Minimal Has a Minimalist Linkblog
Note: I have retired More Minimal’s linkblog to concentrate on other things. But we’ll leave this post, anyway.
One of the things I wanted to do with More Minimal is find a place to put my online stuff.
In this case, I’m talking about links to the dozens of smart articles and features I come across each week. I’d like to share these without requiring that you sign-up with yet another social media service. I also wished to avoid creating anything complicated, such as a sub-site or Tumblelog.
So you’ll find my shared links on a tab called “Linkblog” right below the masthead. In order to keep things as simple and useful as possible, the only thing you’ll find there is a text: a clickable title, and a concise description of what you can expect to find at its destination. No embedded videos, MP3s, or images. Just links, frequently updated.
For what it’s worth, the linkblog is actually part of my Delicious bookmark collection. This means I’m able to offer the links as a separate RSS feed. It works well in Google reader, NetNewsWire, or an RSS-enabled start page such as iGoogle or Yahoo. You can grab the linkblog’s RSS feed right now by clicking here. While you’re at it, I’d be deeply obliged if you’d subscribe to More Minimal’s feed, as well. The info is below.
If you see a great link on leaner, greener, happier living, please send it my way. Don’t be shy about sharing your own writing.
